Iron Man 2 texturing titles
This is my test of trying to recreate the typography texture over the new Iron Man movie witch I see in the poster. I’m using Photoshop to create the texture for the bevels of the text and use a texture for the front cap. Use a texture tool to manipulate the texture to fit your needs, use inner extrude and extrude to create your unique bevel. Simple use of the warp deformer and that’s it, hope you like it.

Hi Alexander,
I’ve seen quite a lot of tutorials using the new Mograph to shatter logos, text, etc.
But, I haven’t seen one in which the text and/or logo starts off already shattered and then comes together.
I also haven’t seen a tutorial on exploding or shattering the logo at a specific point in time instead of immediately.
If you’re looking for tutorial ideas, I hope that you’ll add these to the list.
Keep up the great work!
You are on my go-to list of sites to visit daily.
Best,
J
Thanks James I’ll have in mind
@James Wicks-
I think one way to accomplish the reverse explosion with MoGraph is to bake it to a cache, which basically converts it to plain keyframes, which you can then rearrange. I think….
Thanks Heaps
Hi, Alexander. You can give me the e-mail?
At me it is some questions about Cinema 4D…
is in the About section info@amateurmedia.net

Hi Alexander!
Just wanted to say great work. Love the tutorial. Even more so, I love that you are in the comments, helping people out, responding and generally being a good guy. Not everyone in the motion community helps out as much, and I think the attitude is everything!
After this words I have to leave a comment

Hello Alexander,
I love all your tutorials and am really interested in
cinema 4d and after effects!
But could you please do a tutorial on how to model
a skateboard in c4d?
I can t find it on the net!
Your fan,
David
Hi, I think the modeling is not my best skill but in the future may be I’ll try
Hi Alex. Amazing work. Such intricate detail. The difference between pro and amateur work.
What set you apart is your type layout and your texturing. Very few tuts get into detail about texturing. They want to show a cool trick, but your techniques gives us material we can apply to our own projects.
It seems you get your inspiration from movie titles and trailer animation. Maybe I could send some ideas from motion graphics world that can also give you inspiration.
Kevin aka Lethal Dose
Alex. anyone can show basic modeling. its being able to texture stuff and make it look beautiful. That is the hard part when making a project look professional. Keep up the good work.
Kevin
Thanks Kevin, I’m glad you like the stuff
Really nice. Learned a ton from this. Found you on Nick’s site. Texturing just became something I think I may actually be able to tackle.
Really looking forward to trying this out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8GxfQbVkPk
it would be greatly appreciated if you could help, i think the use the cloner object and clone the cherry on the surface of an cherry text object but the dynamic movement and then morph to another object i just dont understand yet. Thanks
Yep, I think your right for the technique

I mean the texture.
I think you can do it yourself like put some texture on a grunge metal over the second text and blend it with the original shine reflective material
Cinema4D can be installed in snow leopard?
Yes
