Hi guys, I just pack the 5 Thing to know about typography tutorial in a single pdf file that a lot of you ask for … so here it is it is very short version from the tut. hope gets in use.
Sorry it is not vector but i just have the graphic files left since was a long time ago.

Thank you so much for this kind of information… It really helps me a lot.. even though I’m not a cinema 4d user… I try to translate you technique to my 3d application and it really feels good… Thanks once again…
Keep up the good work….
simple word to describe ur work = ” AWESOEME “
When will you be posting a new C4D tutorial
Soon i’ll back on track and i’ll let you guys know soon as i can YEAAAAH!
Hi Alexander! Congratulations for the great work in your blog.
Why shouldn’t I use serif and sans serif fonts in the same composition? Is that aplyed to logo design also?
I always tought that this kind of contrast was good for the brand/composition personality. I was probably wrong, but please tell me why! haha
Thanks a lot up front!
For logo sanserif and serif is cool sometimes, but for print …. i don’t think so
Nice! Thanks for the quick answer, I’m in the midle of a brand development, with serif and sans serif fonts!! haha
Very nice, Alexander. Thanks a lot. Amazing site & tutorials. Really appreciated.
You might want to correct a typo on page 8 of PDF though. “3 basic align that *aways* work” :]
Nice PDF Alexander, good points on there! But just remember guys… Some rules are made to be broken. This PDF kinda shows the modernist way of seeing design… Guys like David Carson and Sagmeister mix lots of fonts of all kinds and still get awsome compositions, with strong balance and strong message.
I would recomend to all of you interested in type, to see the documentary about “Helvetica” by Gary Hustwit. It is not only a documentary about helvetica, but also about typography thru time.
* Sorry about my english…
PDF doesn’t work =/
Hey Alexander! Great to have you back!
Cool PDF, I’m saving it on my pendrive =)

Sir Alex. Thanks for your kindness to make this into PDF, you’ve made your promise via mail back then. Every time and every thing that comes to amateurmedia.net always get me (and of course us) to smile!
From information onto tutorials, all of it, you’re a genius yet kind at heart person!

Quote ” Alexander Alexandrov says: August 17, 2010 at 10:56 pm Soon my friends very soon sorry for delay. I hope this time you mean it. BTW thanks for making tutorials free for us
Please bring out some new stuff
You have a big fan base and you are risking losing potential customers for any products you release. In my opinion you should really focus on bringing out some new stuff and some products to get paid for what you are doing here!!
It is for a reason soon i’ll let you know
Hey Alexander! I have a blog too man, i know how tough it is. Specially when something big comes up.
But just give people some news! No content, just show up and tell whats happening. It’s a shame to see this great content going away =/
I think soon i’ll have the chance to let you guys know whats happening
Traffic and alexa position beginning to fall dramatically, WATCH OUT!!!
something new here? :S
Just be patient, guys… He’s not the man with nothing to do and abandon the site. He’s kinda busy right now. And to be honest, the more you wait, the more you’ll receive the most respect and kindness from him. =)
sigh . . . i give up!
WAKE UP!
Seriously man wtf!
You Should at least place something on the site letting your fans know that you are out there, hold on, and don’t be discouraged. I will be posting wants I am able.

Friends, maybe he had a problems with jobs, families or health, we don’t know and we don’t expect that things happen to Mr. Alexander Alexandrov. Let us pray for him at least. I’m not making a religious attempt or what, this is just my thought, it’s near the end of year. We better keep a serenity and peace in mind to embrace the upcoming year.
To Mr. Alex, hope things are always great to you and your families.
Greetings and God Bless You.
Just be patient, guys. Alex will show up, he is ok.
Perhaps Alex had a big important ident order and can’t find the time for this right now.
It’s totally comprehensible, and we should support him and be glab for that, since he
has made so much for all of the rookie design community already.
Maibe it’s the right time to put hands at work, push our imagination and make our own
tutorials and post them here, wile we’re waiting for Alex.
Hi all just thought I would let you know Alexander has become part of the Video Copilot team and I assume that is why he has left amateumedia.net behind.
Check it out here:
http://www.videocopilot.net/contact/
thanks for your, recently study website layout, the typography is very important
OMG videocopilot! I think that isn’t bad, maybe thats is the oportunity to see more C4D and after effects tutorials in videocopilot, I dont now, what do you think about this?
sorry for my english xD
I’m very pleased for you Alex but a post annoucing your new job would have been great.
Anyway good luck in your new adventure Alex, we all know you deserve it and it’s worth having a talent like you in videocopilot company.
Cheers.
Hey, I’ll post soon what will be my purpose on VC and what to expect.
Just saw your Font on VC and I was like “OMG they’re stealing the font!” but then I saw your logo and mention. I’ve just read you’re working on VC, congrats dude! Take care! Thanks for all the tuts you’ve shared with us!
Thanks man, see ya with more tuts at VC
hello from Domican Republic Alexadre, What isthat mean that VC, ….. When there new tutorials, Tnk for you good bless
Video Copilot??
I saw in Video copilot, excellent work on VC
Looks like this site is offline, no new tutorials no new post.. to bad it was a good site but now it’s just something on a server
I think one of the indispensable conditions for Alex to work for VC was making this site off-line.
And that’s a wrong way you’ve chosen Alex. Why shouldn’t you do something like GSG? Something like another C4D community. Your C4D tuts were great and you could have success here from my POV.
Anyway… Who cares… RIP amateurmedia.net.
thank you! kam sa ham ni da ^^*
where are U?
In VC?
Good Luck!!!
Thanks for you generosity
Hello Alexander, thanks a lot for all your efforts and for sharing your amazing knowledge with us.
I’m an illustrator that has recently started to get into cinema 4d and you saved me, finally a place where we can learn…and it’s about this bit I feel like giving you an advice, and hope you will consider it in future tutorials:
When you get to the point where you tell us to hit “this button” or “that button” (i take as an example the jelly text tutorial, where you get to work on all the bones structures) you should explain the reasn WHY you are doing it. Just to give you a motivation, I would be able to recreate the jelly now, but I didn’t understand how bones works, I don’t know why I had to push the fix button, and it was really confusing. Hence, I couldn’t be able to use bones in a future personal projects because I the various functions weren’t explained.
For istance (i don’t want to start any race here, you are both amazing people) but when I follow Andrew Kramer’s tutorials he always explains why he is doing such actions and what all the parameters means, so that you understand the meaning of the parameters and get when and how to use them in personal projects.
I think this is missing in your tutorials where I often end up asking me “what does that function means?” or “why did he set that parameter?” or “why is he grouping objects in nulls?” “why he had to fix childs here?”
Hope you will understand this suggestion, I will follow you anyway even if you don’t, you make great stuff mate, keep going on.
A fellow artist and follower.
